BLUE1647 + Village

To celebrate the opening of the new Apple store on Michigan Ave, Apple partnered with several Chicago based filmmakers to capture stories on their revamped Today at Apple series. We had the pleasure of being one of the few selected filmmakers.

The ask? Find, develop, capture, and deliver an interesting story based on an assigned presenter. We were assigned to cover Emile Cambry of Blue1647 whose theme was “Prototype a Civic App.” Over the course of a month, Emile worked with attendees at the Apple store prototyping civic engagement apps. One attendee, Sean Klamm, stood out with his ideas for an app named Village. This is the story we found.
